The SMA (SubMiniature Version A) are widely used 50 ohm connectors. They feature a screw-locking coupling which makes a secure connection, which reduces problems with vibration. They are available for applications with general frequencies of 0-6GHz and specialised frequencies of up to 26GHz. They are commonly used in aerospace and defence applications and some connectors employ specialist insulators to guard against signal leakage.
